What would be useful in this case assuming cert hash is a factor that comprises a unique server identity is an RFE to supply a mumble.ini setting to opt out or not consider server certificate hash as a qualifying component of what defines a server. It is however less useful when combined with something like Let's Encrypt which generates their free TLS/SSL certificates in a much more rapid cadence as they expire and re-issue certs every 60-90 days. I can understand if it works this way as it's a way to verify server identity and can strengthen security. I don't really see a way to work around this thinking We use the certificate to prove the server's identity and therefore a new cert results in a new identity. ![]() I haven't checked the code but I think this is rather likely. As the cert-hash changes when the cert changes, the client considers this server to be completely unknown and will therefore not use any data from the old one. I strongly suspect that access codes are treated in the same way as other server-specific data: They are stored in Mumble's database with the server's cert-hash as the key. I only ran across another thread where another user had their Access Tokens disappear but not much else.Īs I said earlier I'd hate to ditch Let's Encrypt for a long-term self-signed certificate to work around this if it's the case.Īre access tokens (from a client perspective) tied to the identity of a server + unique certificate at the time? I have not looked in the code base to see if the current certificate is tied in any way to Access Tokens set on clients (or somehow it forms part of what makes a "server" and clients see it as a new connection and drop the access tokens?). If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.ĭesktop (please complete the following information): Restarting murmur to pick up a new certificate that was generated should not remove any Mumble client settings for Access Tokens for that server. Client-side server access token is missing on mumble clients of various OS/version/platform connecting to it.Replace an SSL/TLS certificate configured via sslCert= and sslKey=.Add an access token from a client connecting to the server. ![]() I quite like using Let's Encrypt and really don't want to issue a longer-term self-signed certificate if indeed client-side (Mumble) access tokens are somehow tied to issued Murmur Server certificates. If so is there a way to turn this off? Lets Encrypt renews their certificates every 60-90 days or so and it'd be a real hassle for people to re-add the same Access Token just because the certificate is changed. ![]() There's not a lot in the murmur server logs, but I can confirm the access token for my client was also missing and needed to be re-added.Īre access tokens (from a client perspective) tied to the identity of a server + unique certificate at the time? Is there a defacto expiration time for tokens otherwise? (I wouldn't think so). I couldn't understand why replacing the TLS/SSL certificate and restarting murmur would cause a client side change unless Access Tokens are based on the current certificate? On this server we use Access Tokens to grant certain access to some channels and clients needed to re-enter their access token as it was missing on all their Mumble clients after the SSL/TLS certificate was renewed and the Murmur server restarted. This of course replaces the SSL certificate but it still utilizes the same key/cert name in my mumble.ini. I run a murmur server that utilizes Lets Encrypt certificates, when there's a SSL/TLS renewal for the domain I use the post-hook functionality of Certbot to restart mumble.

There are still a couple of small things missing, like Overcast's awesome ability to download a single episode without subscribing to an entire show, but Pocket Casts has just about everything you could want. I personally find its interface a bit complex to navigate, and the ads in the free version can be annoying. For everyone else, it's just a super-simple grid of show icons. Castbox is similar to PodBean in the sense that it's packed with features. ![]() It has all the fiddly bits podcastheads will love, like chapter markers, show notes, a running queue for uninterrupted listening, and support for 3D Touch. Version 6.0 borrows a few great features from other podcast apps, like automatic silence-trimming and voice-boosting. Pocket Casts keeps lists of episodes you've already started, ones you've downloaded but not listened to (which is handy for clearing space on your phone), and more. It's now really easy to find new podcasts to listen to, sort through the ones you already have, and more. The new version for iOS, Pocket Casts 6.0, brings the app-which was great for a long time, and has kind of languished the last couple of years-into full-fledged modernity. Whether you're doing laundry, driving home from work, or breaking a sweat at the gym, podcasts are great if you want to throw in the best earbuds and fill up your time. I did play a lot of Diablo 3 when it happened. I was in college, and the Dreamcast was occupying most of my gaming time when it came out, and that was that. I was young enough at the time that I wasn’t thinking about mechanics and what not, so I can’t tell you anything about that. I don’t think I beat them ever, but I did enjoy the crap out of them, so there was that. I didn’t play them multiplayer, this being the days when playing multiplayer required using a modem and tying up the lone phone line of my parents’ house, so that didn’t happen. I remember I played a ton of Warcraft 2 on my own, and maybe somehow that convinced me to buy Diablo 1, and it’s expansion pack (a weird backstory of its own), but I bought them. I have no idea why I bought Diablo 1 as a kid. But I can’t start with that without starting with Diablo 1. While ostensibly a review of Torchlight 2, I can’t write about this game without addressing the elephant Diablo 3, so I might as well start with that. ![]()
